The Challenge

What Problem are am I trying to solve

Paid Family leave has become an important issue that affects many US households. Today, the decision to implement this benefit is done by a state by state. So as result, it can be very confusing for citizens to track the status of Paid Family leave legislative bills in their state.

The solution to this issue is to create a Paid Family Leave Legislation Tracker with the following criteria:

+ Monitoring and alerting systems: Develop a monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential Paid family Leave Legislation changes.

+ Ensure 100% uptime during a critical time slots (8am - 5pm).

* This application is also an update of Paid Leave Tracker Version 1. It's a complete code re-write which now has improved scalability, reliability and speed.

UI/UX considerations:

+ Keep it clean and user-friendly.

+ Intuitive navigation, clear calls to action, and mobile responsiveness are essential.

+ Visuals matter.

+ Use high-quality images and a consistent brand aesthetic.

+ Accessibility is key.

+ Make sure your site is usable by people with disabilities.


Security GDPR and other regulations:

+ Making sure that the website is OWASP compliant.

+ Secure Content Management System (CMS).

+ Understand and comply with relevant data privacy regulations, like GDPR, to protect user data and avoid legal issues.


Website performance:

+ Ensuring that the loading times are fast and snappy.

+ SEO: Search engines (like Google) care about performance. Faster websites rank higher in search results, meaning more people will find you.

+ Aim for a page load time of under 3 seconds.

+ Caching stores website data so it can be loaded faster on repeat visits.

+ Mobile Optimization: Ensure your website is responsive and performs well on all devices.

+ Does this website require Progressive Web Applications features?

+ Avoid unnecessary plugins and scripts that can bog down your site.
